Ombre Powder Brows Aftercare Guide

Ombré Powder Brows Aftercare
Proper aftercare is crucial for achieving beautiful, long-lasting Ombré Powder Brows. Following these guidelines will help ensure your brows heal properly, retain colour evenly and last for years.
Healing & Protection
Day 1: Immediately After the Procedure
Expect slight redness, swelling, and a darkened brow colour – this is normal.
Use a clean tissue to blot excess lymph fluid every 30 minutes to prevent heavy scabbing.
Avoid touching, rubbing or wetting your brows.
If instructed, apply a very thin layer of aftercare ointment (only if advised by your artist).
Days 2-3: Darkening & Sensitivity
Brows will appear darker and thicker than expected – this is normal!
Mild tightness, tenderness or itching may occur.
Gently cleanse brows once a day with a damp cotton pad (no soap).
Keep the area dry aside from cleansing.
Days 4-7: Scabbing & Peeling Begins
The brows may start to flake or scab – Do not pick, scratch or peel them.
If scabs fall off too early, it may result in uneven pigment retention.
Brows might look patchy or lighter – the pigment will return as the skin heals.
Continue avoiding water, sweat, steam and skincare products near the brows.
Days 7-14: Flaking Ends & Colour Softens
The scabs will have mostly fallen off and brows may appear lighter than expected.
The true colour will gradually settle over the next few weeks.
Continue avoiding sun exposure, exfoliants and makeup near the brows.
Light moisturizing may be allowed if advised by your artist.
6-8 Week Touch-Up: Perfecting Session
The second session corrects any fading and ensures an even colour result.
Healing after the touch-up is similar but usually faster.
Long-Term Care for Lasting Brows
Apply SPF 30+ on healed brows to prevent premature fading.
Avoid chemical peels, laser treatments and exfoliants near brows.
Use gentle cleansers and avoid scrubbing the area.
Schedule touch-ups every 1-2 years to maintain the shape and colour.
