Lip Blush Aftercare Guide for Perfect Healing
															Lip Blush Aftercare
Proper post-care is essential to ensure the best results and longevity of your lip blush treatment. Please follow these instructions carefully:
Days 1-3
Immediately after the procedure, your lips may feel dry, tight, and sensitive. They might also appear swollen and more vibrant in colour.
For the first 4 hours, gently blot your lips with a clean paper towel to remove any lymphatic fluid.
After 4 hours, start applying a thin layer of ointment provided as needed to keep your lips continuously moisturized.
Avoid kissing, rubbing or applying friction to the treated area.
Apply ointment multiple times throughout the day to keep your lips hydrated at all times.
Avoid consuming hot drinks, oily, spicy or heavily seasoned foods and use a straw when drinking.
After eating, gently rinse your lips with water, pat them dry and reapply the ointment.
Days 4-7
Your lips will begin the peeling process, during which the colour may lighten by 30-50%.
Do not pick, rub or peel the lips – let the exfoliation happen naturally.
Continue applying ointment to keep them moisturised.
Week 2
Peeling will have finished and the colour may appear lighter.
You can resume your regular routine, but remember that full healing takes up to 6 weeks.
Each week, more pigment will surface, so keeping your lips hydrated will ensure optimal colour retention.
Weeks 6-8
Your lips are fully healed – just add a touch of lip gloss and you’re ready to go!
Clients will require a second session to complete their lip blush transformation.
What to Avoid for 14 Days Post-Treatment:
To ensure proper healing and colour retention, please avoid the following:
Excessive sweating and intense physical activity
Swimming in pools, oceans or hot tubs
Hot saunas, steam rooms and long hot showers
Sun exposure, tanning beds or UV/UVA exposure
Laser treatments, chemical peels or skincare products containing Retin-A or Glycolic Acid
Touching the treated area except when applying aftercare ointment with a clean cotton swab
Picking, peeling or scratching the lips to prevent scarring and pigment loss
Heavy household cleaning involving airborne dust and debris
Excessive alcohol consumption as it may slow down the healing process
Driving open-air vehicles such as bicycles, motorcycles, boats or convertibles
When to Seek Medical Attention
If you experience any unusual symptoms, such as fever, persistent redness, swelling, severe tenderness, increased body temperature, red streaks radiating from the treatment area, or green/yellow discharge with a foul odour, please consult a physician immediately.
